Inspiration -   In spirit

So many times I find myself giving inspiration and support to clients and even folks I have just met.  It seems like today more than ever we need a little lifting up and cheering on to what we normally would not take on or perceive.
I hope you enjoy this page as much as I have creating it.

quotes............

Practice is not preparation for something else, it is not about stopping the storm.

But learning to walk the storm.

We don't strive through meditation to attain peace. Peace is what we discover in meditation when we let go of all striving

Everything you want, is on the other side of fear!

Seven habits of highly resilient people.

  • They fully experience both positive and negative emotions.

  • They're realistically optimistic.

  • They "reject rejection."

  • They build strong support systems.

  • They notice (and appreciate) the little, positive things.

  • They seek out opportunities for growth and learning.

  • They're endlessly grateful.

WHATS GOTTEN INTO YOU?

Here are some exercises that have helped my clients.

If anger has gotten the better part of you.  Write a “Forgiveness” letter to those who have brought you anger and sadness.  It can be from the past or present. Or even both. No more than a paragraph long.(I know this seems corny but it’s not. There’s a reason for it and its huge) after that you can burn it, tear it up.

In this letter I would like you to be a specific as possible like “I forgive you for not being honest with me; I forgive you for not being a good nurturing mother”.  The more specific you are the better it is.

Be cognoscente for any negative talking or thoughts that come to your mind.

Eat warm nurturing foods like vegetable soup, or steam green vegetables.

Drink warm teas like chamomile or tension tamer from Celestial Seasonings.

Breathe deeply as though each breath is the breath that is meant for your health.

Be in the state of gratitude. No matter how frustrated and angry you are. ALWAYS take time to be grateful, even if it’s for the sun in the sky. Even better, tonight before you go to bed Thank God for those who have entered your life and have caused some stress. Because those are the people who help you learn and change for the better, if we so let it.

Believe in who you are. Without what you have gone through in your past, you would never be who you have become today.

Always be truthful with yourself and others. Be authentic, and honor yourself at ALL times.  Yes, this could mean learning to set boundaries and saying "NO".
